Welcome to Newton House Farm…

We are looking forward to sharing our little corner of The North York Moors with you and truly hope you enjoy it as much as we do. The views across the valley and over the moors are spectacular, there is an abundance of walks and cycle routes for all abilities and plenty of excellent local cafes and restaurants to cater for every taste.

This booklet contains information about the cottages and the local area to help you enjoy your stay. You should find everything you need however if you have a question that isn’t covered in here please do get in touch and we will be happy to help.

We hope you have a pleasant stay and look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.

Check In
You will find the key to your cottage in a secure safe box attached to the wall by the front door. The code for the safe box will be sent to you before your arrival.
Please take a moment to read through the following pages where you will find information on site safety, recommendations on places to eat and a few local attractions.

Checkout
At the end of your stay with us, please ensure you have all your belongings; we will aim to return anything left behind however this may incur costs.

We would really appreciate if you could turn off all lights when you leave.

Just pop the key back in the safe box by the front door and move the numbers to secure the box.

Please ensure that you leave on time to enable us to have time to prepare the cottage for our next guests.

We hope you have had a pleasant stay, wish you a safe journey home and hope to welcome you back soon.

Site Information

Parking
There is a designated parking area for each cottage, just outside the front door.

Recycling
You will find a recycling bin in the kitchen; this bin is for clean glass, plastics, tins/cans and paper/cardboard. The wheelie bins are located at the bottom of the courtyard – green for general waste, blue for recycling.

Dogs
We welcome dogs to our cottages however they must be kept on a lead at all times when around the farm and should not be allowed near any animals.
You will find plenty of footpaths easily accessible from the cottages.
Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms or on any of the furniture within the cottages.
Please clean up after your dog (any waste should be bagged and put in the general waste green bin).
Remember to bring your dog’s bed and a towel.

Site Safety

Newton House Farm is a working farm so please beware of moving farm machinery. Remember to admire the animals from a distance; do not attempt to approach them and do not feed them.
Children should be supervised at all times.
Please do not allow children to explore the farm unaccompanied.

Fire
There is to be no open flames, candles, or smoking inside the cottages.
In the event of a fire, leave behind all belongings and assemble in the courtyard
Phone 999 and ask for the fire service.
There are fire blankets and a fire extinguisher in all cottages.

Noise
We politely request all guests to respect wildlife, other guests and our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum, especially between the hours of 11pm and 7am.
