Booking Terms & Conditions

When you complete your booking you accept these Terms & Conditions and site rules.

Important notes:
– Our site is not suitable for people with mobility issues
– The nearest shop is 3 miles away (Sleights) and the nearest supermarket is 5 miles away (Whitby)
– We are not located on any public transport routes
– The management reserves the right to ask anyone breaking the following conditions to leave the site, without refund.

Arrivals and Departures

Arrival for the campsite is from 12pm and from 2pm for the pods. You are welcome to arrive earlier however you will not be able to access the site/unit until these times.

Late arrivals must notify the management as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to re-let your unit/pitch.

Departure is by 11am.

No refunds for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Changes to Your Holiday

If you wish to amend your booking please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate the changes.

Newton House Farm can not guarantee that booking changes within 14 days of arrival will to accepted.

Dogs

Dogs are allowed on site however they must be kept on a lead at all times. We are a working farm and therefore there is livestock in close proximity to the site. If a dog is caught off the lead then you may be asked to leave immediately, without refund.

Dogs must not be left unattended in the pods at any time

Dogs must be kept off the furniture at all times

Dogs are not permitted in the shared kitchen area or the shower rooms

Extras

Our pods are priced per night for 2 people.

Camping price includes 2 adults, 2 kids; additional guests must be paid for

Towels are available to hire on request for a charge of £3 per person

General

Please leave your glamping pod and the shared facilities clean and as you found them.

All damages must be paid for.

Cooking, candles, gas lamps, naked flames inside the pods are not permitted.

Candles, gas lamps, naked flames inside the shared facilities are not permitted.

Guests are asked to avoid any noise or nuisance that may disturb other guests.

Dirty water, rubbish and any waste must be disposed of in the indicated areas – we encourage recycling.

Please be mindful not to waste water as we are on a spring water supply so it is limited, especially in dryer months.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to the management immediately. Complaints which are not brought to our attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume.

Ball games are not permitted on site.

The use of drones is not permitted on site.

The releasing of balloons, ‘Chinese’ lanterns or other similar objects is not permitted on site.

No climbing on fences or walls.

No attempting to approach or feeding of the farm animals or wildlife.

Noise must be kept to a minimum after 9pm and total silence must be respected between 11pm and 6am.

Hired Accommodation

Smoking in the accommodation and amenity block is strictly forbidden. If you wish to smoke outside please be mindful of other guests and dispose of used cigarettes responsibly.

Occupancy

Each pod has a maximum occupancy of 2 adults

No hen/stag parties permitted.

Occupancy cannot exceed the number stated on the booking form.

Pitches

No tents, awnings, pup tents or gazebos to be pitched next to pods or in the pod area.

Gazebos are allowed on the camping field; they should be well secured and should be kept within your pitch space

Please be considerate of the natural surroundings, plants and trees. It is forbidden to put nails/tent pegs in trees and to cut any branches.

Please keep your pitch and the facilities tidy and clean.

The establishment is not liable for any loss or damage to guests’ equipment, belongings or vehicles

Sewage Waste

Our sewerage system is a soak-away septic tank so nothing but pee, poo and toilet paper is to be flushed down the toilets.

There is no facility for the emptying of chemical toilets

Safety

Barbecues and contained fire pits are permitted but must be raised off the ground, not placed directly on the grass or picnic benches and must be attended by an adult at all times.

Barbecues must be allowed to fully cool before being disposed of in the correct way.

Children under 16 must be under adult supervision at all times and should not be allowed in the kitchen area or off the site unattended.

Fire extinguishers and blankets are available on site.

Open fires are forbidden, and any electric appliances used on site must not be faulty.

Play areas are used at the guests own risk; the management takes no responsibility for accidents that may occur through use of the equipment – children should be supervised at all times whilst using the play area

Vehicles

No cars by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.

The speed limit is 5mph.

The parking areas are used at the guests own risk; the management will not take any responsibility for loss or damage that may occur.

Visitors

Visitors are not permitted on site without prior discussion with the management.

Newton House Farm cancellation policy

No refunds for cancellations within 7 days of arrival date.

No refunds for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible, we will do our best to rearrange the booking dates if you wish but cant guarantee that this will be possible.
You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your belongings/injury whilst away.

The management at Newton House Farm reserves the right to amend or cancel your booking.

Payment

Full payment will be taken from a credit/debit card at the time of booking.

B&B Terms & Conditions

Please advise of any dietary requirements at the time of booking

It is the guests responsibility to check ingredient labels for potential allergens prior to consuming food

Holiday Cottage Terms & Conditions

Arrivals and Departures

Arrival is from 3pm. You are welcome to arrive earlier however you will not be able to access your cottage until this time. (Feel free to park up and take a walk in the nearby woodland!)

Late arrivals must notify the management as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to re-let your cottage

Departure is by 10am on the day of departure.

No refunds for late arrivals or early departures.

Changes to Your Holiday

If you wish to amend your booking please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate the changes.

Newton House Farm can not guarantee that booking changes within 14 days of arrival will be accepted.

A welcome pack including tea, coffee, milk and biscuits is provided on arrival
